Overcoming Life's Challenges: A Father's Fight Against Cancer

This is my story. Who am I? Well, I am no one of importance. I am just another middle-aged father who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. I am not special in any way really. I have no real reason why you should listen to me or read any further, other than this is my real-life account of what I have been through and what I am going through since being diagnosed.

I do have feeble hopes that someone who is recently diagnosed will read this story and it will help them find some level of comfort knowing that what they are going through is normal. Other comfort I would get out of it is knowing that a care giver reads this and then gets a better understanding of what their loved one is going through.

As a disclaimer I am sure what I am going through is not the same as what everyone else is going through with cancer. This is purely my account of what I am going through and I wanted to share my experiences, thoughts, and emotions with hopes that someone else may read this feel comfort that they aren’t alone.
